Yet Another Question About 3D in SuSE 9.0

I am something of a newbie trying to get 3D working is SuSE 9.0 Personal (Sidenote: why doesn't it come with 3d working?????) My problem is that I'm trying to follow these instructions rage3d.com/board/showthread.php? threadid=33730117 (take the space out after the question mark in the url, it wouldnt let me post a url) And I need the kernel source to complete the instructions, but I don't see it on SuSE's ftp How can I get my sweaty hands on the source? Oh and my kernel is the latest downloaded through their little update program- 166 optimized for athlon processors. Another thing, are the instructions going to work for my system which has the following specs: Athlon XP 2200, SOYO DRAGON ULTRA w/ Via KT333, Radeon 9700 pro. I have installed the latest "fglrx" from SuSE's ftp btw. I really want to get 3D working but it seems pretty daunting for a linux newbie like me who doesn't even know what "i386" means :-/. I'm really digging SuSE but 3D support would have been nice, but I guess this is how I learn all about Linux

The kernel source is on SuSE's ftp site, just look for it under /supplementary/9.0personal/kernel-sources or alternatively: under suse/i386/9.0/suse/i586/ just use i586 or i686 whatever you like. I did this off of a mirror, so the directory structure may vary a little, but it is there, just look for it.

Thanks a lot sirra! Do you think those instruction at the rage 3d site will get 3d working on my system or is there an easier way?
