yenta_socket and dwl-650+

I have Debian 3.0 (Woody) (i have also tried on knoppix 3.1 but i get the same), a dwl-650+, kernel 2.4.18 and problems with the dwl card. After all i have read, there are only drivers that work with the yenta_socket (ivor etc.) I got the yenta_socket, ds and pcmcia core loaded correct, but as soon as i insert the card i get:

syslog:

Hello

I encountered the same problem as you. And I have not found any workaround yet.

Did you manage to find a solution?

Thanks.

What you have to do is to install the newest beta release of the pcmcia-source package. Install it as you normally would. Then add this entry to the /etc/pcmcia/config file:

card "DWL-650+"
version "Wireless Network CardBus PC Card", "Global", "", "" #or whatever you have
bind "dummy_cb"

It should beep two times. Then after the dummy driver is loaded, load the acx100 driver from the sourceforge project and voila

pcmcia-cs in sarge works just fine with this card + acx100.sf.net's driver,

ii pcmcia-cs 3.2.5-2.3 , apt-get.org gives some repositories that has up-to-date pcmcia-cs package for woody.
