xubuntu 16 and TRIM for Crucial models

by default, will xubuntu 16 perform TRIM on a schedule, for a SSD made by Crucial?
If not, how can it be scheduled?

Modern linux kernel do trim automatically.
You can start trim manually with the following comand: /sbin/fstrim.

I always add "discard" to the /etc/fstab entries for file systems on the SSD. For example
Code:
UUID=49016ab7-ac10-4923-b622-b23abc8be9cc /home  ext4 discard,defaults 1 2
It is my understanding that this will trigger the TRIM cleanup process as needed.
