xorg modeline gurus, need to decrease overscan

Hello,

To improve the video quality from my MythTV box to my TV, I replaced the S-Video cable with DVI to HDMI cable. I had some difficulty finding a modeline that would work with the new setup, but I finally found one:

ModeLine "1280x720" 74.160 1280 1352 1392 1632 720 725 730 750 -hsync -vsync

The trouble is, there's too much overscan... the KDE menu button in the lower-left hand corner is completely off the screen, the clock is mostly off the screen, etc. Many apps with things in the corners have become hunt-in-the-dark games when I try to find those buttons without being able to see them.

My question is, how would I modify this modeline so that there is less overscan? Is that even possible with DVI?

Thanks in advance for your help.

PS - if it helps, the TV in question is the Panasonic PT-52LCX15

Maybe you will find xvidtune helpful.
Search this site for how to use it.

xvidtune seems to have no effect... making wider/narrower and taller/shorter adjustments in there, hitting test or apply, does nothing.

Thanks for your help.
