You can typically acccess your router from a web-browser by using its LAN side default gateway IP - (often 192.168.0.1)

In addition - you can set up your ip address, mask and gateway in:

Code:
/etc/rc.d/rc.inet1.conf
and your nameserver addresses in

Code:
/etc/resolv.conf

if the ip-adress 192.168.0.1 doesn't work try: 192.168.1.1 (thats default for mine)

another way is download the pppoe-tools from roaring penguin,
as root start "adsl-config" to setup your ethernet devices, for connections to start
type "adsl-start"
there is also a pppoe package that should come with your slackware-cds, but the taking it
from: http://www.roaringpenguin.com/pengui...e_rp-pppoe.php should be more up to date
