Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver (Crossfire) For Windows
Hi,
My 5 year old daughter is having a great time singing to the karaoke game I've put onto my Ubuntu HTPC system. However the USB microphone is having a hard time! I was wondering if it would be possible to use an "Xbox 360 Wireless Gaming Receiver (Crossfire) For Windows" in Ubuntu with the cordless mic I already have for my Xbox 360? I guess it'll be a driver issue as always. However, I also note that MS don't mention the receiver works specifically with the microphone, they only mention the control pad and steering wheel, so I could be going down a blind alley anyway. Any suggestions/comments gratefully received. Thanks, Andrew. |
The Wireless Gaming Receiver works fine under Linux with the built in drivers, but as you said I don't believe the microphone works with the device in the first place, certainly nothing I am seeing on my few Google searches just now have been positive.

MS3FGX, thanks for the information. I'll contact MS to see if the receiver works with the mic in Windows... it still wouldn't guarantee it would work for me though.
Cheers, Andrew. |
