x Windows not working
 

I have redhat9 linux server and it's x windows is working past 3 months but now when i type startx to start linux windows i get font fixed error.
also i want to ask you is there any command like xconfigurator to repair xwindows.

at a command line (not in x, ie level 3), type xf86config if you have xfree, or xorgconfig if you have xorg.

or directely edit the config files; either /etc/X11/XF86Config (or XF86Config-4)-- i'm not sure how rh9 server uses each of these, or xorg.conf

when your done running the programs (if you use xf86config) you will need to copy the finished config file (probably XF86Config -- again i'm not sure with rh 9 server) to XF86Config for it to 'take effect'.

you will need to kill x before it will restart.
