X display doesn't work, "framebuffer device not found"

Hi,
This is my first experience with debian and I'm having problems with X display which doesn't work. I've got Nvidia Gforce 2 64mb card and have installed the latest Debian sarge r1 on my machine. When I do startx I get a message something like "framebuffer device not found". I've tried doing xf86config, and used the same options which worked with the previous Suse 9.1 but it still fails. Any ideas? Do I need to install some additional driver?

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
