Question WUSB11 driver for linux

I was wondering how to get a RPM or a easy to install driver for my linksys WUSB11? I need it so I can use it on my linux/windows pc. Any help greatly appreciated.

The version of the WUSB11 is important, it may be an atmel (http://atmelwlandriver.sourceforge.net )chipset version of the device, which is simply going to take some compiling, or it may be a prism2 device, which means its covered by the www.linux-wlan.net project, and there's a site around that has precompiled RPMS. Most important is, what's the version? 2.5/2.6/2.7?

Cheers,

Yep, its a prism2 version of the device, check out the table on this page:

http://www.linux-wlan.org/

You can find RPMs out there for the kid, and you gotta remember the RPMs only work for the distro they're compiled for, kernel modules don't cross over between distros well. Also, when you're done you'll have to use specific wlanctl commands as this package involves its own configurator, so check the man page on wlanctl when its installed. I can't find the site for RPMs right now, I'm just not googling well I guess... its run at UNC I think, rpmfind doesn't cover it, so you'll want to search here at LQ by either WPC11 or WUSB11 and "linux-wlan" (one package, both devices), and page through the threads. Or, alternatively, just compile the source directly, which is much better in the long run...

Cheers,
