Wrong group with custom udev rule

I have the following udev rule for making my PSP appear at /dev/psp1

BUS="usb", KERNEL="sd*", SYSFS{product}="PSP Type A", NAME="%k", GROUP="storage", SYMLINK+="psp%n"
The symlinks do get created so that /dev/sdc and /dev/sdc1 point to /dev/psp and /dev/psp1 however the group of the devices is set to disk when it should follow the rule and be set to storage. What is wrong with the rule?

Use the udevinfo command to get information about the bus. Something like this: udevinfo -a -p /sys/block/psp1. In your case, use the locate command to find the correct path to psp1, and if it is indeed in /sys/block or some other directory.

The result will display information in blocks of text. You can use the values in one block in your custom rule. You may not mix values from different blocks in the same rule.

Find the block that begins with BUS="usb" KERNEL="sd". See what value it has for GROUP, and use that.
