Writing to ntfs

Hi, this is really important to me, I need some help.

I have writing to ntfs enabled/built in to the kernel (in gentoo stage.1 amd64) but I can't write to it, is there some special way to mount the hard drive a special way so i can write to it

(I need to write to the boot.ini to fix it)

in case you need to know, the windows drive is /dev/hda1

at it's simplest:
Code:
mount -o rw device mountpoint
see man mount
also this might help you (if you haven't already seen it):
http://linux-ntfs.sourceforge.net/info/ntfs.html
Note: You cannot delete, change the size of, or make a new file. (Yet?)

If you want to write to NTFS, I would recommend using Captive NTFS (http://www.jankratochvil.net/project/captive/). NTFS write support under Linux is currently only safe if you do not change the size of the file that you are writing to.
