Thumbs up working with drivers, error " kernel panic: killing interrupt handler" at .img boot

Hi all,
i am working with linux 2.4 20 for a motorola processor. i have modified the ethernet driver code . while booting the image through tftp, i am getting the error "Kernel panic: aie killing the interrupt handler". please help me in this issue.
