Woody & Sound on a Apple Performa 5200
Hi all,
I've got the following problem: After installing Debian Woody on my Performa everything (x, smb, internetconn., etc.) works fine except the sound. I am using the latest kernel image for bootx by ekato (ftp://ppc.linux.or.jp/%2Fpub/users/ekato/nubus-pmac). It seems like neither the dmasound_pmac module nor the alsasound system is installed. The real problem is that I am a complete Newbie to linux esp. on powermacs. Is there any way to get the sound up and running without recompiling the kernel or an easy way to compile a new one with sound ? Excuse my bad english and thx in advance, lokipo |
