Wont Restart

Just bought a new server and installed OpenSuSe 13.1. Everything works fine, except when I restart the server.

shutdown -r now

reboot

These commands above shutdown the server completely. It won't restart.

Please advise.

will shutdown your server as is happening, does it reboot?

should shut it down and reboot.

You don't need both commands,

OK, I've a feeling I have I misread that, do you mean that neither of the above commands will cause a reboot?

either command shutdown the Server. It doesn't reboot.

I found a fix for it.

At the installation screen, press F5 and select No Local APIC.
