won't load NIC

I just a new box, I've loaded Xandros Linux the problem is it isn't loading my network card Realtek 8100( part of the 8139 family. I've checked lsmod it doesn't show up there. My mobo is a FS40 built for a Shuttle box it is using a SiS740 N.B and SiS961 S.B haven't been able to find a solution to this issue.

What is the output from lspci

In it's output should be a reference to your network card. If it's not there then there is possibly something else wrong and not a problem with linux itself

Since posting this I have found out that the SiS chip 740 and Linux kernel 2.4. I can't access lspci, get message that there is no device to open it.
