WMP54GS on Suse 11.1 64bit

I am ok with linux, but I am having problems installing a new wireless card. I am running 64bit Suse 11.1 with everything completely up to date. I installed NDISWRAPPER and loaded the driver for WMP54GS card. The driver is loaded and everything looks fine, there are no driver conflicts. When I boot it tries to bring up the wlan0 device and it fails. Once the OS boots I can't bring the interface up, and when I try to configure the device from the KNDISWRAPPER GUI I get the error "Can't start the network configuration! No interface found!" When I go digging through YAST it looks like the OS see's the card, and it shows up in kernel information as wlan0 and I can see all of the configuration for the device. In YAST I can click on the network configuration I have the wired connection showing as eth0.I deleted and re-added The wireless card, and it still won't show wlan0 as the device name, it is just blank and can not be eddied. Please let me know what commands you guys want me to run and cap. I am 100% lost at this point.
