Wireless USB Adapter

I have RH9 - tis very good - but we just got a wireless USB adapter for it! It is called Wireless USB Card Model 0801, i have no idea what to do, i would be greatful if there was a tutorial. The device itself is based upon the orinoco system. The cd came with linux drivers! THough id rather not do it from there as i may do something wrong! It would be greatful if someone would give me a step to step guide on what to do.

Thanks
Jake

Well i started to read the manual, and already i am very confused on what to do!
2) Read the Linux PCMCIA-HOWTO by David Hinds. This
document is probably provided on a CD-ROM of your
Linux distribution. You can download the latest
version from: http://pcmcia-cs.sourceforge.net

Please read the section titled "Prerequisites and
kernel setup" of the PCMCIA-HOWTO.
I little help on what this is! Would be ver grateful!

If this is a Laptop, or you did an "everything" install of RH9, you probably already installed pcmcia-cs. If not, check around for one of the GUI package managers and install it from the CDs. If its installed now, you should have the startup script in /etc/pcmcia/init.d/pcmcia

Now, the drivers... the stock orinoco drivers don't have USB support, that is added with a patch... you might actually have the patch in the driver package, anyway you can put up the package public? If not, mail me, I'll mail you back with an address that can take attachements. I want to take a look at something like this.

Ok the it is not a laptop but a pretty big pc. I installed practically everything i needed and everything people suggested to me. I have the kernal tree installed and gcc and all the compilers it had to offer. The package that came with device i have posted at http://216.205.74.40/WLLI616.TGZ there is a newer version out which is WLLI620.TGZ at the agere site. If there is a patchi would like it as so far i have had no luck with it!

Thanks

Jake
