wireless mouse will only go up and down on a line

Hi,
I just installed Dropline Gnome and I went into gdm and logged in only to find that my Dell Wireless Mouse would only move up and down on one line.

How do I fix this?

shameless bump.............

This is really annoying.

I would really like to get this fixed as until it's fixed, I am stuck in my basement on a crappy computer.

Seriously, someone must know how to fix this.
