wireless Input Devices

Thinking of going wireless (keyboard / mouse). Are they up to scratch in Linux? Any negative issues?

Thanks, Allan

I have a targus wireless mouse. I love it. It has a dongle that plugs into a usb port, and you plug the mouse in to a usb port as well when you need to recharge the battery. I didn't have to set anything up.

Thanks; which Linux flavour / s are you using?

I'm using SuSE 10.2 (x86_64). Nearly any Linux distro should work. I think that a wireless mouse presents itself as a usb mouse. If a usb mouse or keyboard works, then a wireless mouse or keyboard should work.

Make sure that the usbhid module is modprobed. Otherwise, the distro should setup the xorg.conf device entry correctly.
