Wireless Help

Hi Guys,
Need some help with wireless....
After struggling for over a week I successfully compiled and installed wireless network card(Intel 3945ABG) on my Toshiba M100 with Fedora 5.
I have 2 problems here:
1. I have to compile and load the service everytime I re-start the system.
2. The signal strength drops to "null" every 2-3 mins and comes back after 5 mins.
Is there any way were I can make the wireless service to load automatically at start-up....something like start-up program in "Windows" or creating a batch file

I think that this is possible in Fedora Core 5 -

add every line of code you need to enter to make it work into the file at /etc/rc.local. This is a multiuser start up script that is ( or should be) run at boot up. Hope this helps.
