Wireless-G PCI Adapter WMP54G vs 2 hardware not recognized?

As described above my wirless-g card is located under my device manager, however, it has a yellow "!" in it. I have tried updating the driver and my computer has said that the driver is already the most current. I have also tried unloading and re-adding the hardware and the computer still will not allow the card to be use. The error that I recieve when I attempt to reinstall is: "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" Please help. Thanks!

Red face Looking for Wireless Adapter 802.11g for Linux and Windows

This doesn't surprise me. I recently called Linksys and they advised me that some of their adapters will not support linux and that you have to buy a different adapter.

I actually sought out posting on adapters because I am trying to figure out what model and what make I should buy. I find plenty of adapters that will support Windows, but virtually no adapter supports Linux. I am looking for an adapter that supports both Linux and Windows.

Would anyone have some suggestions on a model and a make? I have seen inexpensive windows adapters as little as $29; this includes an antenna. And I have seen some without an antennae for only $18.95

I would apprecaite someone e-mailing me if they come up with something.
