Wireless card SMC2635W on Mandrake 9

K, just testing out MandrakeMove before I migrate from Windows to Linux and I want to get to know this system better. I have a wireless router and PCMCIA wireless card (SMC2635W). Mandrake doesn't install this so I need to figure out how to get Linux to recognize this device.

Any of you out there willing to help a poor guy out?? I'm completely clueless here. The result of years of abuse at the hands of Microsoft..

Cheers

Sure, mandrake 9.0, 9.1, 9.2? The driver is included for both atmel and prism chipsets on the mandrake 9.2. Even if you wish to stick with an ealier version, Ive setup numerous wifi connections on all three. In fact I have it down to a 2 minute process. First, find out if its atmel or prism, what version of mandrake you will be using, and Ill guide you from there.

Thanks for the help.

I'm on MandrakeMove right now, but I will be on 9.2 if all goes well. How do I know what the chipset is? I really am a novice at this. I used to develop programs for Windows.... as for hardware, I suck.
