wireless adapter

Hi, I just installed Fedora Core 4 amd64bit version... (since red hat wc3 and fc5 both hate my sata hard drive for some reason :< )

and I want to install my micro$oft MN-710 wireless adapter. It's a USB adapter, and I already have ndiswrapper installed and setup. The problem is this adapter is discontinued so it only has windows 32 bit drivers. I read a thread on another forum about the exact same problem, and the guy said he had fixed it and would send anyone the drivers, but this was a year ago, so I don't know if he'll reply or not . He also said that you could 'mod' the driver but I have no clue how to :\. So if anyone knows a solution to this problem, thank you

amd 64 can run 32 bit apps... have you tried the 32 bit drivers anyway? (You might need the 32 bit support libraries installed)

yes I have tried to install the 32bit drivers. And in the instructions, it tells me to type dmesg in the konsole. and that's where it says failed blah blah not 64 bit drivers. If you want the exact message I can log onto Fedora and paste it to you.

And also, you mention 32 bit libraries? How/where do I go about installing these libraries.
First time with Linux so

According to everything I read, Fedora has had those installed by default since Core 2 but I have never used it so... it should be a package called lib32 or such like. Yes please post the exact error message, always a good thing.

ndiswrapper version 1.16 loaded (preempt=no,smp=no)
ndiswrapper (check_nt_hdr:149): Windows driver is not 64-bit; bad magic: 010B
ndiswrapper (load_sys_files:213): couldn't prepare driver 'mn710'
ndiswrapper (load_wrap_driver:111): loadndiswrapper failed (65280); check system log for messages from 'loadndisdriver'
ndiswrapper: probe of 1-4:1.0 failed with error -22
ysbcore: registered new driver ndiswrapper

hope i didnt make mistakes running up and down to write this

not good. You might try compiling ndiswrapper as a 32 bit app and trying again... I looked on their website, you have to have the 64 bit drivers to run ndis in 64 bits.
