Unhappy WinTV and XawTV problems.

I just installed Mandrake 9.1 and I noticed that it had detected my TV card Hauppage WinTV PCI (old version from 2000), and when it tried to scan for channels it could not find a single channel. I then realised that it was not set on cable. How can I rescan for channels and get my card up and running for I know it works in XP.

Thanks in advance

Doesn't xawtv have some sort of GUI? Just start it up and (right?) click on the window. I'm sure I recall some sort of channel scan command.

The xawtv manual page looks quite informative.
