Winmodem with linux driver i cant get working

Hi

I just bought a new modem, becuase it could be used with linux. The modem is here http://www.dynalink.co.nz/products/1456vqh-t4.htm

and i followed the manafacturers instructions here http://www.dynalink.co.nz/support/linux.htm and downloaded one of the RPM for the ltmodem for Red Hat 8.0. It installed fine, but still cant get my modem working. Any other thoughts ? I have 4 days to return this for full refund

Refund, i'm guessing it's internal. External modems should work out of the box.
