winmodem conexant compatible

Hi everyone,
I have a conexant comp. HCF-Softmodem and tried to install the drivers hsflinmodem-5.03 on debian woody with kernel 2.4.18. After running make install I am to run hsfconfig. At this point I get an error-message: bad interpreter: no such file or directory. ??? hsfconfig is in usr/sbin. Any idea what this means?
thanks in advance

Would be surprised if it worked. Yours is an HCF modem and your trying to install an HSF driver. There's an interesting thread on PCI modem drivers at http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...hreadid=111893

Ah yes, these drivers (znail, see advised thread) worked. Thanks.
But you know, where that 'bad interpreter: noch such file ...' resulted from? Somewhere on the way getting the (wrong) hsf drivers, e.g. ftp-download or I forgot Windows put some return carriages in the .tar.gz imagine that. I found it with less -u. So the shebang of hsfconfig didn't say bin/sh but bin/sh\r - this of course doesn't exist. Just strange I didn't see these ^M in vi

Cheers
