Angry Winfast 2000 XP Expert under debian and xawtv and tvtime

Hi *,

I recently bought winfast 2000XP Expert TV tuner

It seems that the card is being recognized by the system properly:
Code:
CORE cx88[0]: subsystem: 107d:6611, board: Leadtek Winfast 2000XP Expert [card=5,autodetected]
cx88[0]: Leadtek Winfast 2000XP Expert config: tuner=38, eeprom[0]=0x01
input: cx88 IR (Leadtek Winfast 2000XP as /class/input/input2

Modules are loaded:
Code:

and xawtv shows card:

*** tvtime requires hardware YUY2 overlay support from your video card
*** driver. If you are using an older NVIDIA card (TNT2), then
*** this capability is only available with their binary drivers.
*** For some ATI cards, this feature may be found in the experimental
*** GATOS drivers: http://gatos.souceforge.net/
*** If unsure, please check with your distribution to see if your
*** X driver supports hardware overlay surfaces.
So I can not make this tuner work.

Any help appreciated.

All the best,
DP

So I guess this was a tough question

I had small problem with mplayer and when woring on them I found solution for this problem as well.

I will post it here so someone with similar problem may find the answer here.

After adding
Code:
Option "VideoOverlay" "on"
to graphics card device section in /etc/X11/xorg.conf for fglrx driver.

the card just started to work I am posting while watching tv.

All the best,
DP
