from memory, at least one of your XP user accounts should have "administation" privilegdes??
You should use that one to fire up PM8.0 and look into the repartitioning.
Or, as mandrake 9.1 is able to handle installing/modifying of ntfs partitions, then see if you can do it that way, read all the prompt's and you can always cancel any changes before you implement them.
Then do a lot of digging round
google for "partitions", you should find quite a lot of advice, assistance, guidance, etc from someone more competent than me.I managed to sus out what PM8.0 wanted me to do (well actually I just tried various things in a "hit or miss" way, but managed to get it right!) and I have only used it the once.
If you try the
google option, be prepared for a mega session of reading, which if, like me, you hate reading long drawn out documents off screen will definitely stretch your patience, but is actually worth the effort - I just find that I have to do this in small chunks, because it bores the arse off me!
good luck.

John
p.s. If you tried my "hit or miss" method, the only thing that you will have to have handy is the window$ install disc(s) just incase you really do screw it up, then at least it's reasonably straight forward to get that back up and running!!!!! or follow the "rute users handbook" link in my sig, it's heavy going, but should answer most of your questions.
