Will this USB NIC Work?

I have a computer that doesn't have any available PCI slots so I would like to get a USB NIC. I was hunting on Newegg for one and I found this one:

Hawking Technologies USB 10/100Mbps Ethernet Adapter, Model HUF11

Does anybody see any potential problems with this? If so what would you recommend for another USB NIC device?

I just would like to check before I drop the money on it.

Side Note: What would you all recommend for a KVM. I have a wireless logitech keyboard and a logitech MX510 mouse that would be used.

Thanks!

I don't know if it will work, but I do know that there's a kernel option for USB network devices, so I guess it should work. My guess is that it will, but I can't say for sure.

You'd probably be better off searching around Hawking Technologies' website - I doubt anyone here will have your answer because it's pretty uncommon to need a device like this - most PC manufacturers put NICs in all their models, and PCI NICs are pretty cheap - something like $10-$20 for a good one (unless you get one of the gigabit ones, which you generally don't need just for home usage - surfing the 'Net, playing games, etc).

And I don't know a thing about KVMs - never used one in my life.

Well usually I would get a PCI NIC, but this machine is unique in that there are no PCI slots. It was made with the intention of being small. It has one onboard NIC and I need another one. That is why I was asking. I've searched around on their website but I can't find anything linux related. I've heard rumor that it works under the RTL8150 driver so I'll have to give that a shot.

The netgear fa101 works with linux. I have it on a fedora core 3 or 4 server which is my asterisk server at work. I installed the nic and it did not work until I rebooted the system. After that 100/fd works fine.
