Will my video card support my monitor?

I have a nVidia GeForce 6200 AGP graphics card in my AMD64 computer. I would like to upgrade to a new LCD monitor, preferably wide screen. In the process of picking one out (that I can afford mind you) I've noticed a lot of complaints on Amazon and Newegg about people having trouble with their video card not being able to support the wide screen resolutions. So I went looking on nVidia's site for my card and I found it. But it doesnt say anything about supported resolutions except:
Quote:
Dual integrated 400 MHz RAMDACs for display resolutions up to and including 2048 × 1536 at 85Hz
So does anyone know how I can find out if my video card will support the needed wide screen resolution. Since I haven't actually picked one out yet, I can't give any specific resolutions, but I want to be pretty sure before I drop $400 on a new monitor.

I hate to spoil my own thread (which I just posted seconds ago) but I spoke to soon and have already found my own answer. According to the nVidia forums, something they should advertise more, I found the following thread, nVidia forum thread, which states:
Quote:
All NVIDIA Geforce 6 and Geforce7 family of GPU's will support the native 1680 x 1050 resolution...widescreen LCD monitor digitally.
Which was all I needed since the two monitors I'm trying to choose between both use that resolution.

Thanks anyway!
