Question Will a 64 bit distro run on the Athlon XP chip?

I am just curious if the Athlon XP 3000+ will run a 64 bit linux distro?

Thanks!

... Athlon XP series is 32bit.. thus... without emulation, it will never run 64bit ...

That is what I suspected. I wasn't sure if it was 32-bit or 64-bit.

Thanks!
