Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Wifi strangeness new Lenovo Ideapad 5

I've been testing Manjaro on this laptop from an SD card, and everything looks good with a minimum of warnings in dmesg.

But after installing to the SSD on the m'board, I get a bunch of errors.
Principally the wifi card is recognized by the SD card Manjaro, but not by the SSD Manjaro.

iwlwifi and the AX201 card are fine on SD card, but not recognized from SSD. Same kernel - 5.9.16-1

Have not found a reason for this - does anybody have any ideas?

Was the SD card created from a live iso, or an install?
If an install, were drivers for the wifi installed or not?. If live iso then I really don't have an answer for the difference except to conclude that it appears to be driver related.

Have you done a full update to the OS since installing it to the SSD?

Seems to be a Manjaro issue. Mint is working fine.
