wifi card question (ubuntu)

hi,

i have the firmware for my wifi card.
and ndiwrapper is set up with the right drivers.
it works, but when i start my system the led's don't start blinking.
i did exactly he same as on my debian system ans on the debian system the led's start blinking when i boot the system.

the led's start blinking when i do dhclient however.
this is dmesg output after dhclient:

PHP Code:
[4294814.166000eth1resetting device...
[
4294814.166000eth1uploading firmware...
[
4294814.406000eth1firmware version1.0.4.3
[4294814.406000eth1firmware upload complete

[4294825.062000eth0no IPv6 routers present
[4294825.093000eth1no IPv6 routers present
this is dmesg when i unplug the card:
PHP Code:
[4295263.852000eth1hot unplug detected
[4295263.852000eth1removing device
[4295263.852000eth1islpci_close ()
[
4295263.913000ACPIPCI interrupt for device 0000:02:00.0 disabled
then when i plug it in again the led's don'y blink anymore
this is dmesg ouput:
PHP Code:
[4295263.852000eth1hot unplug detected
[4295263.852000eth1removing device
[4295263.852000eth1islpci_close ()
[
4295263.913000ACPIPCI interrupt for device 0000:02:00.0 disabled
what do i have to do to make the led's blink when i insert the card or when the system boots?

Led's don't blink.

Are you able to get on the internet? If so, why do you care whether or not your led's blink? I don't mean to seem callously insensitive, but really?

Blinking %#& non-blinking leds!

There are lots of icons you can put in your task bar that indicate activity over your connection. It may not be a perfect option, but maybe it will assuage some of the irritation you feel because your "led" lights don't work on your card...
