Why my vedio card 3D acceleration not working?
i am using GeForce 4 MX video card on my redhat 9.0 box.
after installing the driver downloaded from nvidia successfully, i am not able to enable 3D acceleration. how can i get this done? |
you have to edit the xf86config file in--------/etc/X11
read the "README"......it tells exactly how to do it |
Distro: Redhat Linux 9
I have the exact same card, /etc/X11 readme file does not exist:cry: ...could someone please paste it under here? ("it" as in the readme file) so that i can enable 3D Acceleration please? My problem is the exact same, ty. |
You have to edit xf86config4 (or xf86config) in /etc/x11...not /etc/x11/readme.
|
The README is in /usr/share/doc/NVIDIA_GLX-1.0/README
When you edit /etc/X11/XF86Config you need to delete the "#" from the front of the line # Load "glx" |
