Hi and welcome to LQ.
Can you start a terminal and enter the command Code:
#/sbin/lspci | grep -i audio |
1.respect forum policy please, you should have searched the forums if not the web for an answer before you started a thread.
:tisk: 2. Here is a link within these forums that tell us that if you use "the command modprobe snd-cs4236" then you "have to go Open volume control (in the speaker control on the tool bar) and un-mute and turn up all the volumes" if we put the command in to the boot sequence by editing /etc/rc.d/rc.local and adding the command to the bottom of the script then it shall do it for you a boot so in the correct order Code:
Hoodedmanwithsythe(Tim Armstrong) PS Please do a search before you post, it is annoying when people don't especially when the answer is there staring you in the face. all I did was search LinuxQuestions for Crystal WDM sound card. |
sorry redazz i beat you to this one
although he could be using a newer version of the card the one I have selected covers most of the series that use the Crystal WDM sound card driverd in windows however Crystal WDM is not the name of the sound card it is the name of the drivers in windows |

Hey qpasp has my info helped any?
it's just if you don't respond and it worked then we don't know so we have to keep checking if you have responded. a simple "it worked" or "thanks" would be handy, just so we know to stop checking the thread for changes. Many thanks, Hoodedmanwithsythe(tim) |
