Exclamation Why does LILO boot Linux by default?

It doesnt give me a choice of which kernel I want to boot onto. Ive been playing around with 3 different ones, trying to get one to work. I have Windows on a super small partition somewhere. I can post my lilo.conf if that will help, but I want to get the loader back! Can anyone provide some insight?

Because it's a Linux program? Change (or add) a 'default=foo' line in lilo.conf to the label you want.

No, I have more than one kernel, and Windows on here, and it wont let me choose. It goes straight into a Linux kernel that doesnt work is what Im saying. Where would I need to add that at?

EDIT: Just to clarify, it doesnt give me the choice of which one to boot. I want to choose.

Ok, I just tried reinstalling LILO from the rescue disc, and that didnt do anything. I can post my lilo.conf if that will help, but I really need to get my computer back into a kernel that has ACPI support. Ive probably just overlooked something stupid.

Yep, something stupid on may part. It usually helps if the 'enter LILO prompt automatically' tab is checked in the Control Center.
