Why does it say 'failed to download repository information' when I click the driver manager application on linux mint?

Hello linuxquestions.org,

As i stated in the title, when i open the driver manager app it says 'failed to download repository information, check your internet connection'. And then within the driver manager application it states that 'this device is not working' in reference to my intel wireless 7260 (dual band wireless N 7260) driver. There are 3 options but i cant seem to choose them... My internet connection is fine but when i try to access most websites on chrome it won't open.

I did sudo apt-get update and it shows this:

It appears that the Spotify repo is not responding. It that some sort of PPA?
