Question Why do 'insmod' everytime?

Hi Guys (or ladies!) out there,
Now that I have successfully compiled my spca50x module for the CS110 Intel Easy PC Camera, I have to go to command line and do an

$ insmod spca50x.o

everytime I log in to my machine. Is there a way that the module can be laoded automatically
at startup?

Thankx in advance...

i think you could just add that line to the end of /etc/modules.conf.
hope that helps.
good luck.

OK,
I tried this in modules.conf

insmod /usr/local/webcam/spca50x.o

and it starts throwing all sorts of errors while my machine is booting

Can u please tell me EXACTLY what to add in my modules.conf?

Thanks in advance...

You need to alias it in modules.conf, which has slightly different syntax.
I think there's a man page for modules.conf, but here's how it goes.
code:

alias [device] [module]
