Who can use ADI AD1888 soundcard on P4R800-V ASUS motherboard on Linux??
I try it for a long time,but it waste !!!!

vanhelsing; sorry this is hindsight but before installing hardware check to make sure everything is compatible. it,s still not workaround providing u check at http://tldp.org/HOWTO/Hardware-HOWTO/index.html check the
motherboard, soundcard. and which are compatible with each other. then
replace what works with motherboard .

vanhelsing; ok disable onboard sound then install sound card that is compatible with linux & motherboard. u than should have sound (if config
coerrectly). right , right.

Hello, i have a ASUS A7v880, with the same sound chipset, ADI AD 1888. Is there any possibility to make it work?? I don't like the idea of using an extra sound card...
