which tv tuner is compatible with mythtv

i'd like to be able to get a tv tuner for my pc (specs in sig). i'd like it to have 2 tuners, so i can be watching one show and recording another. i really don't know much about these cards, so i'd really like some help. all i know is that it has to be compatibel with linux (preferably mythtv on kubuntu, but if that won't work i can install another distro, like knoppmyth), have 2 tuners on the card, and i'd like it to be less than $150. i know this proabbly isn't the best forum to post this on, but on other forums i'm scared they'll recomend me a card and then i'll realize it's not compatible with linux.

thanks

Start by looking at mythtv's own hardware selection guide.
http://www.mythtv.org/docs/mythtv-HOWTO-3.html#ss3.1
I've personally settled on the hauppauge WinTV-PVR-350.

is there a big difference between the pvr350 and pvr250? i don't need a hdtv card, i'll just be watching all of this on my monitor (17" 1280x1024). i'm a serious noob when it comes to tv tuners, i know almost nothing about them, so please be easy on me

The hauppauge web site has a nice comparison feature, you know with the check marks for features in columns and each row representing the card model.

Actually there's not much difference, the 250 does not have a remote. There are a few other small differences.

Don't spend several hundred on a tuner card that is going to be useless next year when the FCC reclaims analog television bandwidth taxpayers own to auction off to raise revenue so that Congress can spend more money. Buy an HDTV tuner card or wait.

I realize the card has a TV tuner built in, however its not ever used since I use the s-video input driven by my sat. receiver.
