Which memory module to use?

I've got 256 MB pc3200 and 1 gig of pc2100. The pc2100 is old but 4 times as much as the faster pc3200.
What to use? Or shouldn't I use the pc2100 at all and save up for more pc3200? (which is the plan anyway but for the time being I'd like to know the best option)

Regards
