LinuxQuestions.org - which internal modem is working in linux (kernel 2.6.7) ?

i m a very new guy here. i just joined few minutes earlier....
i m a support engineer in a linux based company and my client is going to buy a new PC for their office works.... they are asking for which dot matrix printer and the which internal modem is working fine in the linux( Kernel 2.6.7)... as in the linux wipro, tvs, epson dot matrix printer are not working fine.....

and in the case of modem most of the internel modems are not even get detected by the kudzu.... at the booting time....

plz help me to find the best dot matrix printer and the internal modem for my client.... and from where i can get the drivers for those devices....
