where's the rest of my HD? Maxtor

This is barely a linux question however-
I bought a Maxtor 250 GB hd, slaved it to a little one, ran MaxBlast on it and because it's too big for win98 it said that it partitioned the drive into two parts.
However I can't access the other partition and I wanted to Put a linux distro on that half of the drive.
Any ideas/help?
Thanks
Jay

What do you mean by 'can't access'?

It doesn't show up under 'my computer. When I load a live cd it seems only to see the one partition on that HD
I have tried to use the software from Maxtor but that didn't get me anywhere either.
Does this help?

Load a live CD and view the partition information with fdisk.

fdisk -l (that is a small L)
