I'm getting a new PC and it wont have the AIW I use now. I want to get a strate tv card that isn't expensive that linux will run on. I'll be using
Mandrake 10 on a
Intel® 2.6GHz Celeron 400MHz FSB CPU
ASRock® (by ASUS®) GE PRO-M2 Motherboard
Codegen® 1012 mATX PC Case w/ 300w PSU
thanks to all.

Have you looked at the HCL under Video Devices ? - personally I'd go with anything BT878, I have a Hauppauge card with that chip and have had no problems under either Linux or Win32
I have a saa7134-based Pinnacle PCTV Stereo TV card, and it works perfectly.
But I'm not sure it works with Mdk10 default kernels, because I only tried 2.6.6 and 2.6.7 kernels on my Mandrake10.
