What prog should I use to partition my drive?

I installed linux on my laptop and when I went to repartition the drive w/ fdisk it said "no fixed disks". What other partitioning program should I be using in order to see that linux partition and repartition it so that I can put win2k back on it. Thanks in advanced.

maybe you should tell us exactly how you went about this. did you just go 'fdisk /dev/hda' and where exactly did the error come up - when you were trying to write the configuration?

Are you using a DOS/Win fdisk? And why put W2K back on it? *g*

Anyway - I've been slicing and dicing my IBM with a combination of cfdisk and parted on Linux and fdisk in DOS - Linux's fdisk wasn't as cool as cfdisk for me. All worked like a charm. Of course, I was being suicidal because I didn't much care if I trashed anything. Just had one tiny partition in the middle of the drive I wanted to preserve, and did. Not so sure I'd be as casual with my HP. Still, cfdisk and parted are cool. Partition Magic is proprietary, isn't it?
