Thanks, I enjoyed the article -- nice to have a link to non-clickbait storys. I really must build myself one of those little spy thingies.

Hmmm - they're not happy about ad blockers, and they dropped 7 cookies on my system unannounced. Every site is just another data vacuum.

arstechnica really isn't so bad. Both quality of writing and website itself.
It displays perfectly fine without any js enabled - and also does not drop any cookies in that case.
But it's sad that one basically has to run an addon like uMatrix to browse the Web nowadays...
So here's the next task for hackers:
Create a self-updating mirror of the entire internet, with all tracker data syphoning BS removed.

Google would probably buy them out . You gotta have principle to turn down millions/billions and stay running around with the backside out of your trousers. Do hackers have that sort of principle? Google have that sort of money.

Anyhow, it looks like Russia, China, or both are going to do their own internet fork with their spyware. As long as you're not visiting either this lifetime…

Anyhow, this side of the pond, I have enough spectator sports to amuse me with British politicians ready to flush their careers and their economy down the proverbial jacks over principles on Brexit. They've elected their own dumb blonde to do it too. It will impact heavily in Ireland, but nothing can be done here.

^ It really looks like you have your very own orange monkey now, doesn't it?
And another vote of no confidence? That's some sort of inflation of political action. Like elsewhere, interestingly.
I hope we'll manage to wind it down again at some point.

Sorry for OT. Back to matters at hand.
