Well acm compatible modems are supposed to work, but I don't how you can tell if a modem is acm compatible, or where to get them. Best Data had this "hardware" usb modem, but I'm not sure about it. Take a look at www.linux-usb.org .

That Zoom modem looked like a god sent at that price since I'm trying to find a good external modem. Then I took a look at rr http://www.resellerratings.com/seller3266.html pretty low rating on the site that sells them (lifetime rating looks a little better).

If only I could find a trustworthy site with one of those. I think I will buy the Creative blaster v.92 locally and see how that turns out. If it doesn’t its always a quick return.
