What -march to compile at for Celeron M?
Hi,
My HP DV4000 notebook has an Intel 1.4GHz Celeron M processor. I'm a little confused as to what -march I should compile things at, sence the "Celeron" is associated with the Pentium II (and in other places I read the Pentium III) in the gcc compiler documentation (and I know my chip isn't near that old, although Celerons have been around for a while), but I have also read that all a Celeron M is is only a Penium M with less L2 cache. Does anybody know which -march is best to compile at to get the most out of my processor? I have compiled most things as -march pentium-m, however I keep wondering if this is the correct -march for this chip. Any help would be much appriciated.
