What is the best video card for SuSE?

The video chips in my Dell Poweredge doesn't seem to support OpenGL. I have a 21 inch HP Widescreen LCD with both DVI and HDMI connectors

What would be the best video card I could run with SuSE 9.3? One that would work with XML on SuSE 10.2. I'm looking for multimedia capability.

You need an nvidia based card. Nvidia has excellent linux drivers, much better than anything ati offers.

Thank you! I'm not a gamer, so I find video cards confusing.

I suppose one of the Geoforce 7's would work?

The Sapphire X1600 has hdmi, but I suppose it's way too new for SuSE 9.3?

Woah! $479 for a video card? Maybe I need to refine my search a bit. At what level am I getting into a card that has features unlikely to be used by Kaffeine or XGL?

If your motherboard uses AGP then this would probably work just fine: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130197
