What does this tell me about my main disc?
Are Partition #2 and #5 the same?

With a legacy MBR partitioned drive an extended partition allows one to create more the 4 partitions. The extended partition is just a container for logical partitions i.e. those >= 5.
Logical partition sda5 extends to the limits which is why they are the same size.

You are using the older msdo/Legacy partitioning rather than GPT so you have an Extended partition (sda2) which is simply container for logical partitions (sda5) which can contain filesystems and data. With this method, you are allowed only 4 primary partitions while with a GPT partition you can have up to 128 primary partitions and no Extended/Logical partitions are necessary.
